One of the NRLs best talent spotters, Sydney Roosters recruitment manager Peter OSullivan, has had his registration cancelled over his links to controversial betting identity Eddie Hayson.The NRL on Tuesday rubbed OSullivan out of the game after rejecting his submission following an integrity unit probe into whether he was a fit and proper person.The NRL has considered Mr OSullivans response and determined that his registration will be cancelled, taking effect immediately, an NRL spokesman said.OSullivan, who was responsible for uncovering Greg Inglis, Israel Folau and Latrell Mitchell, was stood down in August after details of his relationship with Hayson emerged.Its alleged $750,000 worth of transactions between Hayson and OSullivan over a 10-year period were uncovered.Hayson is the subject of a police investigation into alleged match fixing in the NRL.There is no suggestion OSullivan was involved in neither match fixing nor betting on NRL matches however the NRL considered their relationship to be inappropriate.Despite being stood down in August, OSullivan was spotted celebrating in the ANZ Stadium grandstand near the Roosters bench following the clubs Under-20s Cup grand final win earlier this month.OSullivan came to the Roosters in 2008 from Melbourne where he was head of recruitment during the height of the Storm salary cap scandal.OSullivan was cast as a key figure in the saga but escaped sanction.Then NRL salary cap auditor Ian Schubert found evidence he had deliberately concealed the true amount paid to players.However former NRL CEO David Gallop said it was only legal advice that prevented him from being sacked from the Roosters. ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Braves designated third baseman Juan Francisco for assignment before Thursday nights game against Toronto, clearing a spot for the promotion of left-hander Alex Wood. The Braves selected Woods contract from Double-A Mississippi, giving the bullpen seven relievers. The Braves went with six relievers on an 11-man pitching staff before the bullpen was stretched for seven innings in Wednesday nights 3-0 loss to Toronto. Francisco, who had shared time at third base with Chris Johnson, was hitting .241 with five homers, 16 RBIs and 43 strikeouts in 108 at-bats. He hit .234 with nine homers when playing behind Chipper Jones in 2012. The Braves have 10 days to trade, release or send Francisco outright to the minors. Manager Fredi Gonzalez said a trade is possible. "Its tough," Gonzalez said. "Its a decision that wasnt made over a two-minute conversation. It took a long time to process the whole deal. The good thing about this for Juan and also for us ... two or three clubs called on Juan. Theres a chance we trade him. There may be a possibility Juan gets to go to a major league club someplace else." Francisco declined an interview request after being informed of the move. Wood, a second-round pick from the University of Georgia in the 2012 draft, was 4-2 with a 1.26 ERA in 10 starts at Mississippi. He will join the Braves bullpen. The Braves have lost left-handed relievers Eric OFlaherty and Jonny Venters to season-ending elbow injuries this year. Wood, who worked exclusively as a starter in the minors, joins Luis Avilan as left-handers in the bullpen. Wood said the only time he has made consecutive appearances in relief was in spring training. He called his first opportunity in the majors "kind of indescribable, really. Its just an unreal feeling." The Braves used four relievers Wednesday night. Starter Kris Medlen left the game after two innings with a contusion to his left calf.
