NEW YORK -- The WNBA is back in full swing after the monthlong Olympic break and if the opening weekend was any indication, its going to be an exciting final few weeks.Los Angeles looked to be the team in the best position to maintain its momentum and continuity coming out of the break with only one Olympian on the roster. Yet the Sparks have struggled, dropping their first two games. They fell out of first in The Associated Press WNBA power poll for the first time since Week 6.Minnesota moved into the top spot, but also suffered a loss falling to Connecticut. There are now only three games separating the fourth and 10th spots in the playoff chase, making every game meaningful.---POWER POLL: Minnesota moved back to No. 1 and Chicago climbed to fourth in the AP power poll. A look at this weeks WNBA poll:1. Minnesota (22-5): Coach Cheryl Reeve would like to clinch one of the top two spots so she can get some rest for her four Olympians.2. New York (19-8): Getting Epiphanny Prince back from her ACL injury will make the Liberty more potent offensively.4. Chicago (13-13): Not even the break could slow down the Sky, who are back at .500 and climbing.5. Atlanta (14-13): Nows the time that the Dream usually make their playoff push.6. Phoenix (12-14): The Mercury are finally looking like the team that was predicted to win the WNBA crown this season.7. Indiana (12-13): The Fever have a bad taste in their mouth after a blowout loss to Washington. Itching to get back on the court.8. Seattle (10-16): The Storm split with the top two teams when they returned from Rio and now look to build on an easier schedule.9. Connecticut (9-17): The Sun are one of the hottest teams in the league and have a chance to further try and improve their playoff chances this week.10. Washington (10-16): The Mystics looked great against Indiana before falling to San Antonio. They also lost guard Bria Hartley for the season after she got pregnant.11. Dallas (9-18): The Wings slump continued as they have lost eight straight games. Their chances of making the postseason are fading.12. San Antonio (6-19): The Stars won a game, but are still languishing at the bottom of the standings.---PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Elena Delle Donne had a strong week averaging 26 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3 assists to help the Sky win both their games. The generosity from my teammates and the X-Factor is amazing. When I thought of this idea, I never would have dreamed we would have received so many pairs of shoes. This is just one of the many reasons the Mercury family, especially our fans, are known as the best in the WNBA. Cheap Rangers Jerseys . R.J. The nimble-footed quarterback got his wish, dashing through the snow and a weary defence all the way into the NCAA record book.Daniel Bryans in-ring career is over - but what a career it was! The four-time world champion has been forced to retire from wrestling on health grounds, meaning he will be unable to add to a list of accolades that is topped by his against-the-odds triumph at WrestleMania 30.As Bryan contemplates his next move, lets reflect on his highlights in a WWE squared circle…Winning the United States Title, Night of Champions 2010When Bryan began his WWE tenure as a rookie on NXT, he was mentored by The Miz. The Awesome Ones mode of mentoring was a bizarre one, belittling Bryan at every opportunity and, at some points, beating him up. The animosity carried on way after The Submission Specialists NXT exit and onto the main roster, heating up further when Bryan took Mizs place on Team WWE in a match against his former Nexus colleagues at the 2010 edition of SummerSlam. The feud led to a United States Title bout at Night of Champions, with the fan favourite emerging victorious when he submitted his opponent with the LeBell Lock, a move that soon became known as the Yes! Lock, to snare his first championship in WWE.Becoming World Heavyweight Champion, TLC 2011Bryan was always circling the world-championship picture after winning the Money in the Bank briefcase in June of 2011 and chose to cash in his contract at Tables, Ladders and Chairs, moments after Big Show had been cracked into a steel chair by Mark Henry. A delighted Bryan immediately leapt onto the barricade to celebrate with fans but became somewhat of a bad guy during his inaugural reign, regularly resorting to nefarious tactics to keep his prize, although he did show his mettle by overcoming five peers, including Big Show, inside the Elimination Chamber. The Washington natives spell with the belt came to an end at WrestleMania 28, however, when he was pinned by Sheamus after 18 seconds. People didnt forget that quickly… Tagging with Kane, 2012-13As odd a couple as you are ever likely to meet! The Worlds Toughest Vegan, as Bryan referred to himself back then, joined forces with The Big Red Monster after both failed to prise the WWE Title from then champion CM Punk - and they proved a surprisingly successful tandem, in the ring at least! Bryan and Kane won the Tag Team Titles at Night of Champions in 2012 and went on to hold the belts for 245 days, defeating the likes of Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow in the process, while, with Randy Orton alongside, the duo also handed The Shield their first loss in WWE. Success between the ropes, then, but carnage outside of them, with continual bickering, anger management and a HHarry met Sally-esque diner scene standout moments!Stunning John Cena at SummerSlam, 2013Determined to prove he was not the weak link in Team Hell No after they shipped the twin straps to Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, Bryan mixed it with - and beat - the best WWE had to offer in singles matches, knocking off grapplers such as Orton, Kane, Christian and his old nemesis Sheamus.dddddddddddd That run of victories grabbed the attention of WWE Champion John Cena, who handpicked Bryan to be his opponent at SummerSlam. A hugely competitive match ensued, with Bryan securing his second world title and first WWE Championship with a Running Knee. The fact special guest referee Triple H attacked him moments later, allowing Randy Orton to deploy his Money in the Bank agreement to take the belt should not detract from a stellar feat. Bryans Yes-tleMania moment, WrestleMania 30, 2014The McMahon clan did everything they could to keep the world title out off Bryan in the months that followed SummerSlam, including stripping him of the belt when he won it back at Night of Champions due to an alleged fast count from referee Scott Armstrong, and prohibiting him from entering the Royal Rumble. There was no stopping Bryans Road to WrestleMania, though, when he and his fans hijacked an episode of Raw and forced Triple H to agree to fight him at WrestleMania, with the added stipulation that should Bryan win he would be added into the world-tile match between Orton and Batista. Bryan won both bouts, submitting Batista in the main event, to complete the ultimate underdog story in New Orleans.Inter stellar, WrestleMania 31, 2015Bryan was made to vacate the his newly-won world crown after just one title defence, against Kane at Extreme Rules, due to neck surgery, and was subsequently ruled out for the rest of 2014. Bryan returned in early 2015 but saw his hopes of main eventing WrestleMania for the second year in succession end when he suffered an early exit at the Royal Rumble and lost a No 1 contenders match for the WWE World Heavyweight Title to Reigns at Fastlane. However, he was soon placed in Manias multi-man Ladder Match for the Intercontinental Title, in which he unhooked the belt hanging above the ring to become champion, pipping Dolph Ziggler to the prize in what turned out to be his final bout on WWEs biggest stage.Watch WWE Raw, Smackdown and Main Event every week on Sky Sports.
